@ThoseRandomGamers then the dates in some books must be wrong. how could the training for spartan-IIIs take place 20 YEARS BEFORE reach? Master Chief was still a teenager. I need to reread this series I guess.
@TrantaLocked Seeing that Jorge is the only Spartan-II might also explain why Halsey had a softer tone with him? In the books, Kurt recalls hearing CPO Mendez and Dr. Halsey talking about Akerson (The ODST guy I mentioned earlier) and they never had anything good to say about him. So maybe the Spartan-III’s were raised think Halsey was against them?

Jorge is the only Spartan-II on the team. I know Master Cheif was on Reach. (And I know Reach is before Halo 1, approxomantly 4 months I think?)
I mean I thought that only Spartan-II’s were the only Spartans on Reach too.
But, if you read the dates and times at the beggining of the chapters. Kurt is training the Spartan-III’s at 2532, 20 years before the fall of Reach.
@ThoseRandomGamers I’m confused…when the hell did Spartan-IIIs come online on REACH? I thought that was the first major land battle between humans and covenant. I remember reading about the first spartan-IIIs in halo: ghosts of onyx, which was based on events after Halo 2. actually I just checked and I’m right, but I think you are confused here: this game takes place before Halo 1 XD lol. there weren’t any spartan-IIIs yet. Master Chief was fighting on reach btw.
@TrantaLocked I see where your coming from, but the first Spartans were the 300 from Sparta. Halsey made Spartan-II’s and, just forgot his name. some ODST guy made Spartan-III’s…Maybe they don’t completely know Halsey?
@ThoseRandomGamers she helped make the first spartans, so no matter what sub-type all spartans should give more respect to her. that little thing at the end with the data card, that was just wrong.

dr. halsey never had any bad relationships with Spartans in the books. she was like their mother and had a closer connection to them. this was a bad way to portray her.

I’m sorry, I love Japan, and in general love this game, but is this what Japan really thinks of Americans? We’re a bunch of blood-thirsty ghouls, killing our fellow man for sport?! Really?! I am, frankly, offended at that insinuation. Talk to any of our men who were caught up in the Bataan death-march and you tell me we bombed good old, innocent Japan purely for sport. Horrible. Regrettable. Wish we could change it, I say of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but things are different now. I love Japan.
