Farmville Tips and Hints ? Power Leveling
Since there has been a fair amount of interest in the topic, I’m going to talk about leveling. In farmville you gain experience by doing the following tasks.
Now, as you can see tending someone else’s farm not only gets you the most experience but it also doesn’t cost you anything. Unfortunately you can only do this once per day. So unless you have a lot of friends this is not an effective way to level.
So, we’re going to look at the other two tasks. Obviously, the faster the growing time is the more often you will get to plow and plant. Therefore the fastest growing plants allow you to level the fastest. or at least they would be if we had to wait to re-plant and re-plow the field. A very simple but costly way to level even quicker is to simply use the delete
tool to remove all of your fields. Once you’ve done this you can immediately re-plow and re-plant your entire farm.
Now, because though the cheapest seed you can buy costs , you will want to purchase the seeds. This is because for only you gain twice as much xp. In any case this means that you can effectively purchase 3 experience points for . The downside of course is that you lose time and money in the process. Additionally, you must confirm every single deletion. This tends to become very tedious as an unexpanded farm can have up to 144 plots.
Of course to fully maximize your farm, you want to make sure you have enough money left over to re-plow and replant whatever it was you were normally growing. That way you don’t go completely broke from power leveling your farm.
Below is a break down of how much money you need to keep in reserve to do this, based on how big your farm is.
So, now the only question is “how many plots can I do while still being safe?” and it is easily answered by using the following equation.
# of Plots = (Total Money – Reserve Amount)/25
I’ve tried the above strat and have had a great amount of success with it. In a trial run I was able to gain 3 levels in a single day while still being left with a substantial amount of cash. Hopefully in the next few days I’ll be able to max out my level which will allow me to complete my price analysis of the crops in the game.
On a side note I would like to thank Mugambo for putting me on to this strategy.

Farmville Tips and Hints ? Tree and Animal Profit Values
In FarmVille you now have the ability to harvest your animals in addition to your crops to earn money. Below I have compiled a list of profits for trees and animals with their corresponding profit and cost margins. I am assuming that the initial cost of all of the items listed below is zero since it’s possible to gift these items to yourself.
Formulae:
Plot Profit/Hour = (Sell Value/Production Time) * Items Per Plot
Plot Profit/Day = (Plot Profit/Hour) * 24
If you have any questions or feel that I’ve made an error, feel free to comment below.
Table 1: Animal and Tree Profits per Day in Farmville
*This is how much you would make per week if you were able to completely fill a single farmable plot with this animal/tree. It should be noted that the horse and cows take up twice as much space as the other animals. This is why the lot profits for them are so low.
**This animal was only available for a limited time.
Something I like to do is to sell the trees that have a lower payout because to me it’s just not worth crowding my farm with them. You may feel differently but the fact that you still have to harvest each on individually can be a bit tiresome. Especially when you don’t gain any experience from doing it. Olive trees and Pomegranate trees are obviously the best ones and all of those should be kept at all times.
Animals are a different story all together. Recently a Dairy Farm was added to the game which conserves space considering how much virtual space Farmville Cows take up. Ducks, rabbits, sheep and chickens don’t take up much room but the bigger animals like horses and goats offer some of the higher payouts.

Farmville Tips and Hints ? Plant Harvest Profits
This article will discuss the profit margins of each of the plants avaiable in Farmville and which is the most profitable for any given scenario.
Farmville Plant Harvest Profits:
So, I’ve been working though the levels in FarmVille and I’ve been surprised at how long soybeans remain the most practical. Below are the results of my findings. I will be updating this list as I am able to.
* in each of these cases, it is assumed the maximum number of harvests are done each day, a break down of each of these follows in the next table
**This is an item that was only offered for a brief amount of time
The only reason I tend to recommend against these plants is that they are rather fragile in terms of how easily they can die. That is to say, if you do not harvest them in a timely fashion you can lose the entire crop. that’s why I prefer to stick with wait times which are 1 day or longer. However, if you can keep these harvested on a regular basis, they have a higher potential then most of the other plants.
Explanation of Tables
Because there has been some confusion with regard to the above tables. I’ve added this section to help explain what the numbers in each column represent.
Cost: This is how much it costs to plant this kind of seed in an already plowed field. This is the listed price and it does
not take anything else into consideration
Sell Price: This is how much money you get when this plant is harvested. This is the listed price and does not take any
other factors into consideration.
Time (days): This is how many days it takes for the plant to mature. For plants which mature in less then one day a value less then 1 will be displayed. These values are arrived at with the following formula.
Time (Days) = Time(hrs)/24
Weekly Profit: This is how much money you would make if you planted the same crop and harvested it at the same time every day for a week. It should be noted that a farmville day is 23 hours. The reason this is listed is because it may be impractical to harvest every 23 hours, since this would result in having to harvest it one hour earlier every day. Additionally, these numbers take into account the plowing cost of 15. The formula used is as follows.
Weekly Profit = 7 x ((Sell Price – (Seed Cost + 15)) / Time)
Weekly Profit: This is how much money you would make if you planted the same crop and harvested it as soon as it was ready and did this for a week. Keep in mind that this is the theoretical maximum and unless you’re willing/able to harvest at all hours of the day your number will end up being slightly lower. Because plants that take less then one day were already on an hourly basis the formula is only altered for those plants with harvest times of 1 day or longer. The formula is as follows
Weekly Profit = 7 x 24 x ((Sell Price – (Seed Cost+15)) /(Time *23))
Hopefully, this will help everyone understand the above tables. While it’s true that I do not actually list the plowing cost of 15 anywhere in the tables. They do take it into account.
The most profitable plant to harvest:
Assemble up your Facebook Farmville account by planting strawberries only. Complete this task at least 3 times a day for the first four days. Add more plots of strawberries as you progress the levels and can afford it. Don’t purchase anything but the berries to grow.
Plant the entire field with strawberries day after day for as many times as you possibly can on Facebook Farmville. Once you can use your whole plot (12 squares by 12 squares= 144) for berries you are spending 1440 but earning 5040 a pop so your profit is 3,600 (earnings-cost=profit). Deposit the berries like this three times a day for the 4 days and you have ,600.
Keep progressing upwards in dollars by planting strawberries and you will see the results add up quickly. Expand your farm plot quickly by adding neighbors and getting the experience.
Some may wonder why sow berries only on Facebook Farmville when they are the cheapest to purchase and the lowest in return. Do the math here folks in the time you can plant and harvest artichoke with a sell price of 4 dollars you can plant and harvest 24 berries plants where you will profit 0 bucks. That is for one square. Imagine if you planted all 144 squares with berries.
To place 144 squares of strawberries on Facebook Farmville, you will spend ,440 and sell for ,040 dollars with a profit of ,600 for the four hours it takes to ripen.
If place the Artichoke that will cost you ,000 and you sell them for ,376, which looks great, but it takes four days to harvest these. You can replace harvest a field of strawberries 24 times in the period that it takes those artichokes to mature.
Multiple 24 times the profit of 3,600 you get per harvest of strawberries and get 90,000. I would rather do the red-berries because I can triple my money easily.
The artichokes harvest in 4 days while the red-berries ripen in 4 hours in the game Facebook Farmville. Therefore, you can plant the same plot of strawberries 24 times in that 4-day period and profit 6 more with the same plot.
Strawberries ripen and are ready for harvest in 4 hours. Pick them quick or you will lose thousands of cash. Do this right, follow the outline I have laid and you will turn out to be a very rich farmer in no time at all. You will develop into the richest farmer on Facebook Farmville and be the envy of all your friends.
How to plant, grow and harvest your farm fast!!
They way to this is very simple. You have to trap your farmer in order for him not to move. This way, he won’t have to move all the way to a place to do anything, and he will do it from a distance, saving you a great deal of time. You can use almost anything to trap him, from fencing to hay bales.

Farmville Tips and Hints ? Fast Harvesting and Machinery
This article will discuss the how to perfrom fast farming as well as the best machinery to use in the Facebook application, Farmville.
Fast Farming and Harvesting
A number of items have been added to the game that will allow you to plow, plant and harvest faster. While at first this may seem like a boon to all you hardworking farmers out there. It turns out in the end it’s only a marginal improvement at best.
To start with, if you are really interested in doing things faster I would recommend boxing in your farmer.
Blocked in character in Farmville which creates fast harvesting
To do this visit your farm and don’t move. You’ll notice that when the game is loaded your farmer will always start in the exact same spot. All you have to do is place animals, trees or objects that take up 1 space each around your farmer as shown. Of course you’ll have to delete the center field of your farm to do this. Once this is done your farmer will no longer be able to move. This means that you will no longer waste time walking from plot to plot which will dramatically speed up the time you spend plowing, planting and harvesting. Keep in mind that when you expand your farm this spot will move so you’ll need to set it back up again afterwords. Also, the reason why I recommend using objects that take up a single space is that you’re able to walk though most objects that take up more then one space, making them ineffective for this.
Machinery and Operational Aspects
There are 3 different machines, one for each task. The general operation of each however is the same. Each machine will work 4 fields at the same time and it will work them faster then your normal tool. Each field that the machine works will consume 1 unit of fuel. Fuel comes back over time and you can have up to 150 at any one time.
Harvester in Farmville, Facebook
Unfortunately, because you can only have 150 this means that once you expand your farm past the intial 12×12 size no machine will be able to completely handle any one task. So, you’ll end up doing the rest as normal. Now I’m sure you’ve noticed that it’s possible to purchase fuel. Unfortunately, there is a major flaw with the current scheme. Fuel can only be purchased with farmville dollars which are most quickly aquired using real money. Additionally, all the fuel tanks do is restore your fuel total, they do not permantely increase how much fuel you can have. In other words once they are used they’re gone meaning they are one shot items. This makes them highly impractable at best to use.
FarmVille Tractors
All you need to know (and must know) about Tractors in FarmVille !
With so many confusion about Tractors.. I’ll consolidate a list of information that you must know about Tractors.
Y’know, it ain’t always easy being a Farmer. Sometimes, lookin’ out over yer fields, all you is can think is: “Golly, I sure could use some help.”
We here at FarmVille understand that, folks. That’s why we’ve added a Tractor that you can use to add even more fun to yer farmin’.
It’s true what they say. Life really is better on the seat of Tractor.
1. Tractors plow 4 fallow lands at a time. It uses 4 Fuels. It can be used to plow 1-4 lands also. It uses 1 Fuel per land.
2. Tractors come with a default 150 Fuel Tank
3. Tractors regenerate fuel at 1 Fuel per 2min 30sec. That’s 6hrs 15min for a full 150 Fuel Tank.
4. Buying 2 Tractors DOES NOT give you extra tank nor speed up regeneration rate. Buying 2 Tractors also DOES NOT give you extra fuel meter.
5. Fuels tanks are sold in the market for CASH. They are ONE USE ITEM.
6. Tractors are used to PLOW only.
7. Tractors cost 30,000 Coins. At least it’s better than Barn that cost 40,000 and does nothing.
8. Cost of plowing with tractor is the same. Each plow (1 land) cost 15 coins and earns 1 EXP. Plowing of 4 lands (60 coins 4 EXP)
Which machine is best?
Something else to consider is that not all machines are made equal. Each machine also takes up a certain amount of space on your land just to own. Because of this the harvester is not as useful as the other two. The reason is that the harvester requires twice as much space as the other two. The result is that you end up losing one field to the harvester, where as the other two can be snugly squeezed into the edges of your farm which are not big enough to support an entire field. Plus, anytime you would use the harvester you would be able to just as easily take advantage of the tractor or the seeder.
Otherwise, the machines have no effect on game play. You earn just as much xp and money using them as you would using the normal tools. I’d say it’s worth having either the tractor or the seeder but since you won’t even be able to fully utilize one any others you buy beyond the 1st will ultimately just be decorations rather then something that is useful.

Farmville Tips and Hints ? Cow Barn and Chicken Coop Profits
This article will discuss the profits of the cow barn and chicken coop in the Facebook application, Farmville. Also this article will discuss the mystery egg and how to acquire lots of them.
Cow Barn Profits
As I’m sure you’re aware, a new feature was added to Farmville. This feature is the Cow Barn. Not only that but we have been promised that this is the first of several buildings of this type. Essentially, it is a 5×6 square building that allows you to keep up to 20 cows inside at any one time.
Pictures of a Cow Barn found in the Facebook Application, Farmville
Once installed, it acts like a giant animal. You’re given a progress indicator and can harvest it once it reaches 100%. At that point you get money as if you had harvested each one individually. So don’t worry about mixing brown and pick cows along with the normal white cows. You’ll get the amount you’re supposed to. But the question is, are these buildings worth it?
Well, as I said, it is a 5×6 square building. This means that it occupies an amount of space that is just under 2 plots (32 spaces) Below is a break down of how much you would earn if the barn was filled only with a certain kind of cow. Obviously mixing and matching is possible, but that will only result in you earning money somewhere between the numbers I have listed.
Type Single Harvest Weekly Lot Harvest
White 6 448
Brown 12 896
Pink 18 1344
Green 18 1344
Weekly Lot Harvest Calculation
Weekly Lot Harvest = ((Single Harvest*20)/30)*16*7
But, how good is that really? Well for comparison the weekly lot profit for a chicken is 1008 and the weekly lot profit for a pig is 1568. Conversely, the lot profit for Peas is 1231. So, if you’re lucky enough to be able to fill your barn with pink cows, it’s a reasonable replacement for crops. However, you would still be better off simply having a whole bunch of animals which are not cows. So, in general I would say the cow barn isn’t really worth it. It does make cows more worthwhile to have, but not so much as to be worth giving up land that could be put to better use. At best it’s a neat cosmetic item that will earn you some extra money on the side. The reason for this is that the cows still end up taking up more space then the other animals. Afterall, you could stick 30 chickens into 30 squares whereas we’re only sticking 20 cows into a space of 30 squares. As a result profit values for cows simply can’t compete with those of smaller animals. Hopefully, the newer buildings will prove to be more useful.
Chicken Coop Profits
The chicken coop was just recently added. Like the cow barn this building allows you to store up to 20 chickens inside. The coop it’s self is 3×5 meaning it takes up only 15 squares. As a result the coop increases how much money you make from chickens. Unfortunately, since it’s been introduced chickens can no longer be purchased. So, you’ll have to get them from gifts or eggs. Also, unlike the cow barn you are only allowed to have 1 coop.
Pictures of a Chicken Coop found in the Facebook Application, Farmville
The adjusted values for the various chickens are as follows:
Chicken Type Single Harvest Weekly Lot Harvest Mystery Egg Type
White 8 896 Premium White
Brown 16 1792 Uncommon Brown
Black 32 3584 Rare Black
Golden 64 7168 Treasured Golden
Not surprisingly while the coop does improve your lot profit approximately 392 coins per week, the main feature the coop provides is mystery eggs. It seems that the more chickens you have inside the higher your chances are of producing one of these. Additionally, as indicated above what types of chickens you have affects what types of eggs can be produced.
What are mystery eggs?
Mystery eggs in Farmville are basically the same as finding a lost animal. When you get a mystery egg it will ask you if you would like to share this egg with your friends. This produces a post that looks like the following.
Below is a listing of what each egg is known to produce.
Egg Type Known rewards
Premium White White Chicken
. Brown Chicken
. Pink Flamingo
. Garden Gnome
. Chicken Coop*
Uncommon Brown 1 Fuel Refill
. White Chicken
. Black Chicken
. Golden Chicken
Rare Black Black Chicken
. Golden Chicken
. 10 Fuel Refills
Treasured Golden Golden Chicken
. Tree Swing
. Hot Tub
. Fire Pit
. Golden Gnome
. 20 Fuel Refills

How to get Lots of Mystery Eggs
It’s been recently brought to my attention a few stategies for getting these things to show up.
Lots of Filtered Friends: To begin with, obviously the more friends you have the better your odds are. However, keep in mind that with the recent changes to facebook you can now filter by app. This means that once you’re looking at the live feed (which shows everything) you can filter out everything that isn’t farmville related. This means you can more quickly scan though everyone to see who has eggs. Incidentally this is a great way to pick up lots of adopted animals as well. Sell Your Chicken Coop: This may seem counter intuitive, but here’s the deal. Every time you get a brand new chicken coop you automatically generate a white chicken egg. So before yo accept that chicken coop that was gifted to you, empty and sell your current coop. When combined with multi-accounting you can easily snipe your own eggs, in fact you c even gift chicken coops to your self. Not only that but the coop sells for 250 coins, making it one of the more profitable things you can sell. Coops can harvest 0% chickens: I’ve discovered that it’s possible to load up your coop when it’s at 100%. This means that if you got some new chickens to add to your coop you can stick them inside and then immediately harvest them. This not only gets you instant cash, but your chances of producing an egg are based on the type and quantity of chickens you have.
So, in general you’ll want to harvest your coop, then empty it, then place a new coops, while sniping your own eggs.

Farmville Tips – Little Hints to Bring Big Results
For Farmville players who already have a handle on basic strategy, who don’t want to blatantly cheat but would just like a little leg up, here are some Farmville tips for making sure your little farm produces big results for you, in terms of both Gold and XP.
* Find a crop time chart online. This chart will tell you how much time each crop takes to grow, how much gold it sells for, the net profit, and how much XP you make farming it. Preferably, find a chart that shows how much gold per hour you’ll end up making. Farmville tips involve making the best use of the time you’re not playing, and you want to have as much gold as possible coming in each hour you don’t play.
* Make lots of friends! The more friends you have the more people’s farms you can help out on, and the more XP you can get as a result. As a social networking game, most of the specials and ribbons that are offered, such as the Local Celebrity title and the Good Samaritan award, depend on how many friends you have. You can make money and XP based on what happens on other people’s farms being broadcasted over the Farmville news feeds.
* One of the best Farmville tips boils down to: Time is Money. The Hay Bale trick will let you plow and plant seeds without having to wait for your little farmer to move all over your field. Just box the farmer in with hay bales, then go about your business. You’ll be amazed at how much time you save.
* There are countless Farmville tips like this out there on the Internet. If you’d like a great blog and e-book that consolidates all the best tips, they can be found, just do a quick Google search, you’ll find everything this article did and didn’t say for your viewing pleasure.
