Farmville Tips and Secrets – Grow Farmville Flowers for Beauty and Profit

Of the many crops available in Farmville, flowers have been added.  By planting flowers, you will not only increase the beauty of your farm, they are also quite profitable as well.  And your neighbors will appreciate the beauty and fragance of your flowers, thus improving your relationship with them as well.  There are a lot of benefits in raising flowers so you should definately give them serious consideration.

Flowers grow Fast

The good things about flowers is that they grow quickly and can provide you with some fast cash.  They only take a day or so to mature.  I have found that flowers can bring me a return of over two times my initial investment.  Some varieties bring even more.  So keep that in mind when you need to increase your available cash rather quickly.  At the same time keep in mind that since flowers grow and mature quickly, you need to be able to log into the game on a much more frequent basis in order to harvest the flowers on time.

Share Your Flowers

Not only are flowers profitable, they are also darn pretty!  And as your fields of flowers grow and mature, you can harvest them and share bunches with your neighbors.  They will give you bunches of flowers from their farm in return.

The flowers stay fresh for up to two weeks and enhance the overall appearance of your farm.  They also need no ongoing care to keep them looking great.

If you want to collect perfect bunches of flowers from your neighbors, you need to grow your own and give them away.  Your neighbors will be happy to return the favor once you give them a gift of flowers.  You also have the option to send them a message encouraging them to grow flowers.  The more the merrier.

There is no real downside to growing flowers other than making sure you can log into your game frequently enough to maintain and harvest them.  Just keep planting, caring for them, and harvesting the flowers and you’ll have a nice financial return which look great!

Farmville Tips and Hints ? Tree and Animal Profit Values

In FarmVille you now have the ability to harvest your animals in addition to your crops to earn money. Below I have compiled a list of profits for trees and animals with their corresponding profit and cost margins. I am assuming that the initial cost of all of the items listed below is zero since it’s possible to gift these items to yourself.

Formulae:
Plot Profit/Hour = (Sell Value/Production Time) * Items Per Plot
Plot Profit/Day = (Plot Profit/Hour) * 24

*This is how much you would make per week if you were able to completely fill a single farmable plot with this animal/tree. It should be noted that the horse and cows take up twice as much space as the other animals. This is why the lot profits for them are so low.

Something I like to do is to sell the trees that have a lower payout because to me it’s just not worth crowding my farm with them. You may feel differently but the fact that you still have to harvest each on individually can be a bit tiresome. Especially when you don’t gain any experience from doing it. Olive trees and Pomegranate trees are obviously the best ones and all of those should be kept at all times.

Animals are a different story all together. Recently a Dairy Farm was added to the game which conserves space considering how much virtual space Farmville Cows take up. Ducks, rabbits, sheep and chickens don’t take up much room but the bigger animals like horses and goats offer some of the higher payouts.
